As anyone who follows me knows, I was an Over the Road Trucker for many years. I didn’t think about nutrition and I didn’t care for most of my life. Then one day I went into the usual Doctor that always signed my Medical card and discovered some young new Doctor had taken the place of my old Doctor who just used to sign my Medical Card and let me go back to work. My old Doctor had decided to retire and the new one knew nothing, or so I thought. Turned out that I had out of control diabetes and there was sugar in my urine! NOT GOOD! Turned out that I was way out of control and my blood sugar was really super high. Now as a Driver, you can’t have a blood sugar level over 200 or you can’t get your Medical Card. I was tipping the scale at 350 pounds and my blood sugar was to high for me to be able to drive. So I had to sell my truck and go work in a local Trucking company’s office. Now you have to remember that I was Trucking for over 20 years. Now I’m faced with the reality that my career is OVER!! So I went to work in the local Trucking Company’s Office. It was rough. I didn’t even make 1/4th of what I had been making as a Driver and then there was the POLITICS and DRAMA!! WOW was I out of my element!! My stress level went though the roof and my weight ballooned to 450 pounds. It was a bad year all the way around. 4 years went by and my health was AWFUL!!  I was on $850 in medication and that was with insurance. I was wearing 68 to 70 pants and I was in a TIGHT 8X shirt. Then I had my L5 disc fracture in my back. That put me out of everything for 4 months. I actually got let go from my job while I was out with Spinal Migraines from my surgery. Then in 2011, I was told by my Doctor that they were going to have to take my legs within about 6 months  due to my Diabetes and poor Circulation. Can you say WAKE UP CALL???

I had a buddy that was trying to get me on this stuff he was selling for about 7 months and he was really persistent and every time the phone rang or he sent me a email I knew that he was going to pitch me on this stuff. I would roll my eyes and move him to another subject. So naturally when the Doctor told me that I was going to lose my legs I thought of my friend. I figured it was a win, win. If this stuff worked, then it was a WIN for me. If it didn’t then I got to tell my friend to (Shut the Hell Up)!! Well, I get to thank him everyday now. I’m healthier than I’ve been in over 30 years and I’ve lost 149 pounds to date. It has been an AWESOME Journey so far. Now I get to help others get healthy as well. It’s a great feeling when you can help someone to achieve there goals. My Journey Continues, Stay tuned!!!

No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch. It always seems impossible until it's done.
