Understanding RDA (Recommended Daily Allowances) and DV (Daily Value)

– Posted in: General Nutrition, Information, Trucker Spot

Since most of us do not understand how the Recommended Daily Allowance works on labels for food, Here is a simple explanation to clear it up. Remember that is per serving so you need to look on the package to find out how many servings are in each package.

I’m posting this for information purposes only. I believe that knowledge is power and that the more you know, the better off you’ll be when it comes to your health. What you do with this knowledge is up to you?! The more information I give you dear reader the less EXCUSES you have for not being healthy. Whether you’re on the road driving a truck or sitting in a cubicle with a key board in your hands. You can of course ignore these facts and then if and when something happens to you I’ll post a mirror so you can blame the person that looks back at you for not doing everything in their power to not prevent something that was in their hands to control. It’s about choices my friends! We make them and we have to live with them. But I Digress. The point of these blogs is to help everyone get and stay healthy.  If you know what to do and choose not to. Well that’s another conversation dear reader. As always, if you want to track yourself and your intake as well as activity and mood. Here’s the link: https://www.ichange.com/coach/JuniorPSampson it’s free so NO EXCUSES! Keep the shiny side up out there Drivers.
